Dear Friends,
After much thoughtful consideration, I decided to close the Laguna Green showroom in February 2010.
I so appreciated your support during the 15 months Laguna Green was open. I look forward to connecting with you on my new site, pamsterling.com, where you can find out more about what I am up to now.
In joy and gratitude,
Pam
LEAF Rating
At Laguna Green, we have developed the LEAF® Rating system as a way to easily identify how green a product is and what factors contribute to making it green. Each product we carry has a LEAF® Rating from one to four. The more leaves, the greener the product
- Locally Made – Is the product made within 500 miles of Laguna Beach?
- Energy and Water Conservation – Does the product help to conserve energy or water? Is it Energy Star or WaterSense rated?
- Air Quality – Is the product formaldehyde free and/or does it have low or no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)?
- Formulation – Does the product contain at least 50% recycled content or is it reclaimed or made from rapidly renewable or carefully managed resources?
When evaluating the products we carry in our showroom, we consider these four factors. Every product we carry must meet at least one of the LEAF criteria. In addition, we look at the company’s overall commitment to people and the planet through the supply chain, their manufacturing processes, their environmental policies, and their commitment to creating a healthy, safe, fun, and fair work environment for their employees.
Our Products
We carry the finest quality eco-smart and people-friendly products for your kitchen and bath. Every product we carry must meet our strict standards for sustainability as well as style. In addition to providing a LEAF® Rating for each product, we also provide detailed product information so that you can know exactly what makes it green.
